Here we see Cley next the Sea through the seasons. The old loke, or sheltered pathway between the flint cottages is framed by hollyhocks, so typical of high summer. The smokehouse and iconic mill can be found in the village centre. As you leave the village towards the east and nearby Salthouse, you will pass the watcher's house overlooking the marshes, home to the Bishop family who have been Norfolk Wildlife Trust wardens since the early part of the 20th century.
